Leah Privacy Policy

Effective September 29, 2026

Leah is a video player for the Mac, made by Tausif Khan. This policy explains what Leah does with your information.

Leah doesn’t collect any data

Leah doesn’t collect, store, or share any personal information. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

Leah never connects to the internet. It has no network access, so nothing you do in the app leaves your Mac.

Your videos

Leah opens only the videos you choose, by opening them in Leah or dragging them onto its window. It reads them to play them on your Mac and doesn’t copy, upload or keep them.

The only thing Leah saves is the volume you last set, kept on your Mac. It doesn’t keep a history of the videos you open.

Default video player

If you choose “Make Leah your default video player”, Leah asks macOS to open videos in Leah. macOS asks you to confirm, and you can change it back at any time in the Finder.

Children

Leah doesn’t collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
